Johnny heads back to his second home New Orleans for the 2nd Annual BETTE BATHHOUSE & BEYOND at the ALLWAYS LOUNGE during the annual Labor Day rites of Southern Decadence. Impresario DANIEL NARDICIO and his DWORLD crew present this hit night – last year’s edition (see photo) sold out. The brilliant AMBER MARTIN pays tribute to 1970s BETTE MIDLER AT THE CONTINENTAL BATHS and Johnny will be spinning “Bathhouse Disco”. Everyone will be in towels – there’s a mandatory clothes check. The ALLWAYS is one of Johnny’s favorite NO haunts, so he’s doubly looking forward to this!

SEPTEMBER’S LAST DANCES ON FIRE ISLAND

Johnny begins Labor Day weekend at his Friday night residency at the spectacular DWORLD UNDERWEAR PARTY on 8/31 at the ICE PALACE, Cherry Grove. This is the last Friday night of the season (and always madly packed) but the beat goes on into September. On Saturday 9/8 the party moves to Saturday nights through the month. Johnny will also spin the SPARTACUS PARTY (yup, think the movie) at the magical BELVEDERE HOTEL earlier that night. It’s been another record-breaking Summer and Johnny’s loved every beat of it – in the birthplace of Gay Disco, no less.

CARIBBEAN PRIDE
CHIC PUNTA CANA, DR

Johnny headlines the second annual CARIBBEAN PRIDE in the beautiful beach town of PUNTA CANA. He spins opening night with Miami’s CITIZEN JANE and hostess MISS CONCEPTION (Toronto) at the CHIC Blue Diamond Resort. This week-long celebration of pride, diversity and community is in a safe, private space. Johnny had such a great time last year so if you can squeeze in a long September weekend in the Dominican Republic…

MILAN FASHION WEEK – MAX MARA S/S ’19 RUNWAY

Johnny is off to Milan in September to continue his musical collaboration with the luxury fashion house MAX MARA and its Creative Director IAN GRIFFITHS. Dynell created the soundtrack for their SPRING SUMMER 2019 fashion show on 9/20 and will be there to add special live touches. He’s been Musical Director for MAX MARA WORLD since 2016 and oversees the music for its 2,300 stores worldwide.
